Two Great Southern Shiraz from the Frankland River subregion and the same vintage tasted together, single blind. This didn’t impress me as much.
Sweeter, less depth, a more commercial feel. Glossy red over black fruits, aniseed and pepper. Not much form as it lounges languidly on the tongue and the wine would really suffer if laudable tightly knit tannin didn’t provide substance and direction on the back-palate. 90
