2007 Mount Pleasant Elizabeth Cellar Aged Semillon

imageWhile you wait for your other Hunter Semillons to hit maturity it’s always good to be able to grab a Lizzy. I like this more than the 2006 release. It’s slightly less developed and has more focus and reach.

Lanolin, lime marmalade, creamed honey on toast and lemon citrus freshness. A touch of aniseed and spice. No harm whatsoever in putting some away for a few more years if you’d like to. 91

Fair dos. Will check out. BTW Have you tried the 2006 Anne?

  2. No, I never did get around to tasting the 2006 Mount Pleasant Anne Semillon Matt. So much wine, so little time…

  3. Michael Charles says:

The Anne is a bit too dilute and a bit greenish for my tastes. I’ve had it a couple of times. Look, it’s okay, but it’s not Lovedale quality for me. I’d rather drink the 2006 Elizabeth.
