Be prepared for a little spritz in your red wine and you might find yourself really enjoying this. I actually think it’s refreshing but I’m used to it after tasting every release since its inception. And I don’t think it detracts from the satin texture and grape skin tannins which play an important role in the pleasure perceived.
Wild yet jubey. Certainly the fruitiest Bobar Syrah I’ve tasted. Dark cherries, play doh, aniseed and a mere hint of herbs. Less spicy than it has been in previous years but still seasoned with nutmeg and cinnamon. Chipper and cheerful but much more than that. Doesn’t mean you can’t splash it down without much thought though. 92
