The blend is 53% Semillon, 45% Sauvignon Blanc and a splash of Chardonnay. 3% of the wine is matured in 1-3 year-old French barriques.
It’s certainly not backward in coming forward. Initially grassy and lemony on the nose but soon a surge of powerful fruit takes control. Ripe passionfruit, melon and citrus alongside nettles and herbs. Slightly forced acid cut and a nod to mouthfeel that is more glycerol tha anything else. Nigh full-bodied. Don’t anticipate finesse. 88
