2012 Forester Estate Margaret River Chardonnay

forester chardTasted blind in a bracket of mostly 2012 Chardonnays. I got a shock when I saw the RRP.

A Baudrillardian wine – all surface. Two dimensional. Pear, pineapple, white peach. Sweet nougat oak. Syrupy as much as creamy. Fades on the back-palate. Cool memories. Not a poor effort but the value for money is difficult to see. 88

    Have to agree,
    Very overrated wine.
I’m not predisposed about the wines I drink and enjoy a Chardonnay usually,
this is the first wine in a long time I’ll not be finishing.
    2/5.

  3. Whatever is happening at Forester Estate…isn’t good.
