We’ve recently moved onto the 2012 of Teusner’s The Gentleman Cabernet Sauvignon but I’ve got a soft spot for the 2011 and as I’m sure it is still out there in retail land, thought it worthy of a review.
Luncheon claret, pure and simple. Elegant, doesn’t cost the earth, good drinking without blowing your mind. Cassis over raspberry, roasted capsicum, pepper, leaf and stalky-feeling but ripe and nutty tannin. The acidity is bright yet embedded. On the angular side. It’s a refreshing Cabernet…literally. 90
