A blend of 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot from Port Phillip.
“Fruit for this wine was grown at our Patterson Lakes Vineyard in Southern Victoria. Although this site doesn’t share the regional name of the Mornington Peninsula it does share the same cool climate.”
Herbal, vegetal nose. Capsicum, fennel, mint and rosemary with peaks of raspberry and blackberry fruit. Some briney olive characters contribute to a salty, savoury finish. Low oak influence and not much persistence. I enjoyed the Pinot and Shiraz in this range but struggled here. 85
