From Estate owned vineyards near Serralunga d’Alba in the east of Barolo and matured in large format (2,000 litre – 14,000 litre) barrels for twelve months. Imported by Fourth Wave Wine.
A little bit of reduction blows off and we’re good to go. Leathery rusticity, dark cherry-berry fruits alongside some tarry notes and crushed oregano. Around medium-bodied with buoyant, mouth-watering citrus tinged acidity. A good deal of grainy tannin and a note of cured tobacco on the back-palate. Quite delicious, especially alongside a plate of veal scaloppini. 92
