No added sulphur, no oak but of most interest to me is the lack of acid additions in such a vital wine. Is it a site specific proposition or could more McLaren Vale producers be learning from this? In any case it sits comfortably within the Yangarra philosophy.
Succulent, pure, ecstatic young fruit. Completely unadorned. Slightly yeasty and meaty with an abundance of mulberry, blackberry and plums alongside licorice and rock salt. It’s a spicy minx too. Love the feel of the grape skin and seed tannin. Plump and delicious like a pie cooling on a window shelf. Almost impossible to taste without drinking at least a glass. 92
