The first bottle of this sent to me displayed an off-putting flatulent reduction that just didn’t want to leave. This one though, is fine. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot.
It’s generously fruited and full-bodied. Blackberry pastilles and jam, red jelly, gum and bay leaf. Rather tannic. Oak is prominent but balanced, offering cedar and chocolate flavours. Some dusty brown spice. Give it a decant right now to allow the structure to relax. 90

Really good review, however, with a normal indie bottleshop margin of around the 35GP, you are looking at $39.99 – does that change your score, regarding value for money ? At 30 I’d say a bargain, at 40 I’d look elsewhere. Yes ? No ?
Thanks Glyndon. Scores on this site are always independent of price. I certainly wouldn’t be buying it at $40 but then again it’s not the sort of wine that I’m in the market for anyway. If it’s possible to put that fact aside then I’d suggest $30 is a fair price. Anything much more than that is a stretch IMO – mostly because you’ve got a lot more options at that price and many are more compelling.
