Made entirely from Pinot Noir in the Gippsland Lakes district. I notice that it has won a gold medal at the Gippsland Wine Show. While it’s fresh, clean, crisp and has length I’m not prepared to rate it so highly. A little work on the mouthfeel would add interest here.
Vivid fragrances of strawberry creams, raspberry and glacé cherries although those red fruits aren’t as clearly defined on the palate. A strong cut of citrus accented acidity plays the dominant role with some spice and a suggestion of earth chiming in on a dry finish. It’s a good wine, just a little unremarkable. 89
