A top of thirty-four degrees in Brisbane today so I might run through three 2013 Orange Sauvignon Blancs tasted blind but reviewed in order of ascending weight. Just for something slightly different.
The real issue here is the acidity and lack of fruit stuffing needed to keep up with it. I suppose some might just find it refreshing and crisp but I feel it detracts from the wine. Apparently there was some lees contact but it does little to soften the blow. Lemongrass, tart unripe passionfruit and citrus are the order of the day. Simple, early picked style. 86
