2013 Cargo Road Riesling

cargo road rieslingFrom a vineyard situated at about 860 metres above sea level in Orange, NSW. Notable for its balance of sweetness (9g/l rs) and acid as much as its scent and palate profile.

Lime zest and adult cordial with a hint of baked apple next to citrus blossom and jasmine on the nose. The palate is focused but that acidity is bevelled and shapely. Goes long at the end with a distinctly chalky character marking texture and shape. Great drinking now but it could develop enjoyable complexity over the next ten or so years. 93
