As with the 2012 Eden Road Shiraz, I might have guessed a higher percentage of whole bunch incorporation than is actually the case. 20% for the record.
Initially it presents as minty and herbal with a distinct note of cactus and some smoked meats. Sour cherry and cranberry fruits only fully reveal themselves on the second day of tasting. Nippy acidity, twiggy tannin and a peppery finish. Length, shape and clarity are all impressive. Ultimately what I perceive as whole bunch characters are too dominant for my tastes. Others may like it more. 88
