I’m rather late to the party with the Grosset Riesling releases this year. For some reason I was busy buying other wines.
Not quite as much generosity or immediate appeal as the 2012. Flavours are very similar though. Green apples and citrus blossom, limes and a suggestion of preserved lemons. An expressive and floral bouquet. The palate is coiled and slightly saline. Excellent acid-driven linearity with a wet pebble and chalk finish. Good fruit intensity. I can’t see any reason why it won’t age well although I’m happy to drink it young. 93+
