2013 Battle of Bosworth Puritan Shiraz

battle of bosworth puritanIt has no added preservatives and sees no oak. And it’s a delight to drink. Battle of Bosworth have a good history with this wine.

Brimful of juicy mulberries and raspberries, red licorice, spice, milk chocolate and life. A touch meaty. Vital acidity and fine smudgy tannin. So very juicy. So much fun. Slug it back and salute it while you do. 91

Shall have to seek this edition out. Loved the 2012 – pretty much for many of the same reasons i see you call out in this 2013 number

  2. Yes, both offer the same sort of pleasure. Hard to split them really. Might have another glass tonight with dinner.

  3. Robert Hogg says:

Tried this recently and found it a soft, approachable wine but it seemed to be missing something. Would that be the lack of oak?

  4. That would be my best guess Robert.
