From the Beechworth vineyard made famous by Rick Kinzbrunner and vinified by he whose head meets the sky, Gary Mills. Wild yeast, two different batches; one totally destemmed, the other 100% whole bunch. Blended to taste.
Stalky, smoky and meaty. Very much as you might expect. Plenty of herbs, spice and some chocolate oak adding layers to the bramble berry fruit. Skinnier than the Mill’s Beechworth Syrah from the same vineyard and vintage – a touch less texture and structural finesse. Good wine though. 91
