A curious take on Viognier. I’m not convinced that it knows what it wants to be…and I’m afraid I can’t help.
First impressions are of tinned peaches and cream with Turkish apricots and pineapple surfacing soon afterwards. Plenty of ginger spice on the nose but it’s only present in a mild fashion at the very backend on the palate. Some honeysuckle. It is creamy and diffuse but not fat or entirely full-bodied. A thin slick of oil sits on top and a bit of lemon citrus cut divides textural layers. Lacks focus, identity and conviction. 87
