I’ve come to expect quite a lot from Longhop wines over a short period of time. This Grenache doesn’t quite deliver but as an inexpensive option it offers a big ball of flavour.
Sweet, condensed, ripe and a little hot. Raspberry coulis dominates. There are other nuances such as damp earth and bitumen but you have to go looking for them. It’s a tad unidimensional. Hearty BBQ fare I’d suggest. 87
