A very good vintage of the Mount Pleasant Rosehill. Good to see the alcohol back under control in these 2011 releases although there is still a fair clip of cedary oak.
Primarily red fruited and lighter on its feet than the OP&OH. There are additional characters of fennel seed, vanilla, boysenberry and tar. Cinnamon, clove and pepper seasoning. Fine grained tannin. Took all of three days for the acidity and oak to integrate but eventually they work their way into the wine. Medium-bodied with plenty of reach. Worth cellaring. 93+
