Sourced from various regions in Victoria. Judging from this bottle (which is fraught with danger as it’s NV and released in batches) it’s a shame you don’t see it more often on Queensland retail shelves. Sure it doesn’t have great depth and the Charmat method lends it a slightly coarser feel but it drinks surprisingly well for the price.
Seems very Pinot dominant. Strawberries and cherries with a little citrus cut. A touch creamy, a little biscuity and a reasonably dry finish. Has some body if little in the way of complexity. A ‘serve cold and relax’ sort of sparkling. No thought needed. 87
