Hello, here’s that smoky sulphide character which also plays a big part in the Oakridge house-style and which Bicknell embraces while still seeking verity of site. He reckons the sulphides are related to the cooler sites and pressing techniques.
Smoke, lemon and lime citrus, white flowers, sourdough and nectarine flesh. Maybe even a hint of beeswax. Almond oak. Not quite the same intricacy of the Lusatia Park perhaps but it’s up there. The finish is long and all about mineral refreshment. 94+
