A clear favourite for me over the 2012 Garagistes Red Hill Pinot Noir. Sumptuous yet increasingly savoury as it moves through its line. Sinewy architecture underlies the power.
Framboise, dark cherry and plum are met by undergrowth and a hint of sarsaparilla root. Quite spicy; anise and crushed black spice. A little musk too. A busy wine that maintains its composure. Admirable structure with stemmy, sappy tannin. No shortage of depth. Kept improving over three days indicating potential for improvement in the cellar. 93
