If you’re willing to accept that 2011 was a troubled vintage for most of the Barossa then you’ll see the glass as half-full here. It’s not a bad wine. A fairly typically proportioned Barossan take on the Shiraz Cabernet blend. There’s some largesse about it.
Cassis, white and dark chocolate, caramelised root vegetables. Pepper. A simple yet adequate expression of the great Australian red. Has a bit of structure. Sweet and preppy for the most part with a bit of bracken lurking beneath. 86
