A very polished and balanced release even if it lacks any real excitement. Lots of eucalypt/peppermint too, so don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Malty, toasty chocolate oak adds to the commercial appeal. It’s quite elegant with a touch of leaf yet still flush with cassis and redcurrants. The structure is more than sound, the tannin savoury. Plays it safe and does so very well. The vinous equivalent of a Coldplay album. 92
