A worthy follow-up to the excellent 2012 release. A touch tighter and more restrained, as is the theme with these 2013 Clare Rieslings, yet it’s still juicy enough to be enjoyable in its youth.
Expressive aromas and flavours. Lemon sorbet, jasmine, lime zest, and guava. Plenty of talcy, slatey minerality drives the wine towards an unwavering gin and tonic finish. The acidity is ultra-fine and graceful. I love it now but I’m of the opinion that its future will be bright as well. 94
