Serafino’s first shot at the Fiano variety comes from some young vines in Whites Valley, very close to the Star of Greece restaurant. They’ve made more than a fair fist of it, it must be said.
Clean fruited with a pleasing textural caress. Yielding in the mouth but with decent definition and a very refreshing briney finish. It smells quite herbaceous and floral but those qualities are counterpointed by leesy presence and body alongside abundant melon, assorted stonefruits, apple and zesty lemon zip. Snappy gear for the money. 89
