A Riesling that plays with a straight bat. The Australian top order could learn a lot from it. Thank the lord for Ashton Agar.
It’s a touch shy on opening but as it finds its feet it becomes intensely lemony and chalky. Muted floral traits and a hint of spice. A bit of soft-focus camera work but in a good way. Plenty of extension. No phenolics. A short tasting note but the wine should please lovers of traditional Riesling and I reckon it will improve over both the short and long-term. 92+
