The website tells me this is King Valley fruit but the bottle just goes with Victoria. Not quite sure what to make of that. On the back label lies the PinotG Style Spectrum™ which situates this just on the ‘crisp’ side of the ‘crisp’ to ‘luscious’ continuum. Fair enough too. I reckon it gives the consumer some idea of what to expect.
Stewed pear and sherbet with a hint of spice. Very simple. Has some citrus accented acidity – rounded in the mouth but not oily or greasy. Balanced sweetness with a drier finish. It’s a bit coarse and lacks length but for the price it goes okay. 86
