2011 Quartz Hill Viognier

Qhill_2010_ViognierCareful vineyard management has seen Quartz Hill pull something out of the box with this 2011 Viognier. Varietal veracity, structure, texture and refreshment. You don’t find that bundle too often when it comes to the grape in question.

Honeysuckle and jasmine tea, peaches and poached pears, Turkish apricots with ginger and cumin spice. A notch over medium-bodied with terrific shape via tangerine and lemon tinted acidity. A glycerol slide in the mouth as opposed to a fat slap in the face. Good reach through the back-palate. Forget about the wet vintage conditions, this is a resounding success anyway you look at it. 93 Very Good – Excellent
