Also comes in a proprietary bottle but I don’t have an image of it yet. So we’ll make do with a bottle shot from the previous vintage for now. I’m pleasantly surprised by the excitement I feel tasting my first finished wine from the current year. Makes me think I haven’t completely lost my vinous innocence.
Smells and tastes of melon, gooseberry, creamed rice, pineapple, youthful banana esters and nettles more than herbs. A textural example of Australian Sauvignon Blanc to be sure but the Adelaide Hills fruit is still clearly accessible. Nice wine, just lacks a little bit of endurance at the end. Still, what’s here is tasty. 88 Good
