2012 Concha y Toro Casillero del Diablo Reserva Pinot Grigio

casilerro del diablo grigioFrack, what an annoying website. Confusing, ugly and showy all at once. The wine’s not crash hot either. Has that dilute sense of over-cropped fruit. The internet (that infernal desiring machine) tells me that Casillero del Diablo means The Devil’s Wine Storage. Fitting. The use of the word Reserva on the label tells me that God has a sense of humour.

Pears, icing sugar and a literally saccharine (as in artificial sweetener) aftertaste. Some acidity but little to nothing in the way of a mid-palate, interest or length. Quaff it if you want to but there are much better Grigios/wines out there for the same price, both foreign and local. 82 Below Average
