A field blend of McLaren Vale Semillon and Riesling. It shouldn’t work but it does. Co-fermented using native yeasts for six months in five year-old French barriques.
Sea spray, citrus blossom, lemons and limes with exotic star fruit notes. Juicy and packed with flavour. Somewhere between slippery and waxy in the mouth with pleasantly sheathed acidity. Sweeter notes are in the mix, sidling up to sherbet before backing off. Has some body and plenty of intensity. I could drink a whole lot of this. 91 Good – Very Good
