2010 Schwarz The Dust Kicker Shiraz

schwarz Dust-Kicker-Shiraz-no-vintage-smThese entry-level wines from the Schwarz Wine Company are well worth a look at the price. I preferred the GSM but there’s probably as much quality on offer here with this Shiraz.

Generous but not heavy, with dusty fruits – satsuma plums, blackcurrants and blueberries, licorice and Xmas spices. A hint of orange rind. Beefy and supple with some rich dark chocolate shavings in the mix. You can feel and taste the oak but it isn’t overplayed. It has shape and a bit of length. Grippy, grainy tannins are a feature on the finish. They give you something to hold on to. 90 Good
