A cooler vintage for Marlborough, with no real summer and rain in December leading to lower crop levels. Overall, a prolonged experience. To the wine.
There’s no mistaking the grape or the region. Herbs, pineapple syrup and snow peas accompany the ubiquitous passionfruit with some asparagus notes proving distracting. Has some appealing citrus zing and after a generous entry and midpalate it pulls tight and dry, offering a little length. 88 Good
