Variations on a theme from the aforementioned duo that brought you the Meantime GMT. The Tempranillo is turned up higher in the blend this time round, although Dudley Brown reckons you don’t hear it as loud. I politely disagree and am of the mind that the distinct mix of black spice and cinnamon imparted by the grape is more identifiable here. You can make up your own mind of course.
More red fruit dominant and easy-going. Slightly lighter and more fruity. Salted licorice, sarsaparilla, BBQ steaks and cardamom pods. Bright acid, mineral tannin. I slightly prefer the GMT but I’d like to have both on hand to choose from at any point in time. 92 Very Good
