I’m fond of Thomas Pico’s wines and it’s no secret that the 2010 vintage was a beauty for Chablis. This is a quite opulent example from the region but there’s still enough acidity, form and length.
A first it’s all sweet and fresh mandarin on the nose, with honeysuckle and jasmine chipping in. Over time it reveals notes of custard apple and white licorice. Finely structured and approachable now with good mineral extension, a degree of complexity and a chalky, oystershell finish. 93 Very Good
