Wild yeast fermented, 30% whole bunch, 35% new oak and another winner from Lethbridge. Even at three years of age it benefits from a bit of air.
Dark cherries, savoury undergrowth, stringy rhubarb, some gentle funk and twigs. Sweetly spiced with cloves, cinnamon and anise. The fruit is more than up to the oak and there’s still sprightly acidity shedding light on proceedings. Sappy tannin to conclude. Tastes very much like a Lethbridge Pinot but vintage conditions have brought out the best. 93 Very Good
