Uses fruit drawn from the central and southern parts of the Margaret River. Wild ferment, some solids and new French oak. Almost never a bad recipe.
Lime, pear, white stonefruits and almond meal. A squeeze of grapefruit provides the acidity. Spiced, toasty oak sits comfortably alongside the fruit assured of its importance, feeling no need to prove itself. Tactile with some flesh on its mineral skeleton but hardly creamy in the mouth. Like the way the savoury, bready nuances weave themselves through the palate before popping out and lingering on exit. Not overly intense or powerful, not lean and tight. Works the middle-ground well. 92 Very Good
