I never did taste the much-lauded 2010 version of this blend, but I can’t see much in the way of detrimental effects from the cool, wet 2011 vintage here. It’s a delightfully sessionable wine, medium bodied at most with delicate sensibilities.
Sarsaparilla, jasmine and lavender, red fruits, crushed black spice and tea leaf with suggestions of turned earth, meat and rocks. Bright but balanced acidity, minimal oak interference and very fine tannin. The architecture is intricate and fascinating. A little extra plummy depth reveals itself on the second day of tasting. Refreshing in every sense. 92 Very Good
