A riper take on Pinot Noir compared to many of its 2011 Yarra Valley counterparts – which is neither a good nor a bad thing in my opinion. It gives you options is all.
There’s a bit of depth here with dark cherry, sap, plums, cola and black spice. Some damp earth adds complexity. The acidity is brisk but nestles in with time. A glossy sheen of oak is quite appropriate within the context and there’s appreciable smudgy tannin. No complaints here. 89 Good
