2011 Mandala Pinot Noir

mandala pinot noirA good example of the lighter, easy-drinking and pretty Yarra Valley Pinots that some of us value in their own right. It’s not for the cellar but it’s a good wine right now. Much better than the Mandala Chardonnay of the same vintage I reckon.

Sour cherry, raspberry, sap, dried herbs and spice. Perhaps some floral hints of roses as well. Orange citrus acidity keeps things fleet of foot and flowing and there’s just a rub of tannin to conclude a dry finish. Lolly water this is not. I like the cut of its jib. 89 Good
