What a coup getting the “Riddoch” name onto the label of a bottle of Coonawarra Cabernet? I would have thought in this day and age someone would have snapped it up in copyright legislation. This is an admirable wine at the price too.
Very regionally correct. Cassis and mint with a little bay leaf chiming in. Around medium bodied with herbaceous characters making themselves known on the back-palate. Vanillin oak and plenty of raspy, bucolic tannin. Appropriate savoury Cabernet elements and a good line. Not bad at all. Woolworths exclusive. 88 Good
