Not a Pinot Noir for people who are after lashings of fruit or upfront flavours. This is a wine that draws you in slowly with delicate insistence.
Forest and pine characters are to the fore with sap, tomato seeds, sour cherry and a hint of blueberry waiting elegantly in the wings. There’s a suggestion of chicory bitterness before a lengthy spiced orange rind conclusion. Acidity gives the wine a sense of lightness and agility with dry, ultra-fine tannins adding class. Give it time and listen closely to what it has to say. 93+ Very Good
