Coming to the end of a wrap of Kooyong/Port Phillip Estate current releases and I can safely say they are a winery at the top of their game right now. Extremely impressive wines across the board.
This 2010 Estate Chardonnay doesn’t have the intensity and precision of the Faultline or the fine fruit and length of the Farrago but it’s delicious just the same. Hazelnuts, ruby grapefruit, nectarine/mandarin, creamy nougat and lots of woodspice. It has energy and thrusts confidently through the back-palate. A slight mealiness to the texture is nothing but a joy. 94 Excellent
