Went on a bit of a Cabernet et al binge over the weekend. Tasted some very good wines and some dreadful ones. This lies somewhere inbetween.
Plenty of roasted root vegetables, blackberry leaf and capsicum notes. Takes a while to coax the cassis and plum flavours out. A hint of cherry pie too. The tannin doesn’t demonstrate much finesse and there’s no great persistence but it’s a pleasant enough wine. 88 Good
