The last of the 2011 Peter Lauer wines I’ll be reviewing and whilst it’s been a pleasure, my teeth are in serious need of some downtime.
Trocken-feinherb, 12g/l residual. A compact wine with mid-palate creaminess and a hint of freshly baked bread which has me thinking it has spent time on lees. Not sure though. It’s grassy and herbaceous with white florals peeping out beneath the greenery. Green apple, passionfruit and apricot are the dominant fruit flavours. Finishes reasonably dry and chalky with some refreshing citrus. Tight at the moment but should become more expansive with time. 93+ Very Good
