Terrific value Cotes Du Rhône, especially as you can grab three bottles of it at $25 a pop if you know where to look. 100% Grenache. It’s a tannic bugger, but satisfyingly so.
Red fruits, dark cherry and a suggestion of black pastille. It’s savoury and earthen with grilled meat and dried herbs aplenty. Great form and flow, dusty spice and graphite grip on an enduring finish. Acidity is refreshing and integrated. I might need to get some more. 93 Very Good

Can you give me any hint as to “where to look”?
Try WineStar Steve. I have no problems giving out that information but I’m not entirely comfortable including it within the tasting note. Rightly or wrongly, I can’t help but feel that compromises my independence as a reviewer – and I think that is increasingly an issue amongst wine critics these days. I don’t want readers to mistakenly believe I write for retailers on WWEI…even retailers I value and utilise myself.
Cheers

Great – many thanks!
