Kingston Estate have offered up a few good value weekday reds in the past and the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon - sourced from Coonawarra and Wrattonbully – was one such wine. This 2011 comes from the Mount Lofty Ranges and Mount Benson and is another casualty of the difficult conditions that swept much of South East Australia that year.
Smells of fresh herbs, leaf and rubber with some cordial and blackberry notes breaching at times. It feels green and unripe, firm and cruel in the mouth. Inexpensive but uninviting. 79 Below Average
