I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The combination of wet weather and Roussanne’s tightly clustered bunches is a bitch when it comes to Boytritis.
A full-bodied and viscous white with ripe brown pear, baked apples, apricot nectar and honey. It’s syrupy on the nose and in the mouth with some ginger bread and nuts adding respite to the overt sweetness evident elsewhere. Also has a kind of soapy feel and taste to it. Not up to the standard of previous releases, which isn’t that surprising really. 85 Average
